The vibrant Aspen art community will soon be amplified by a new contemporary gallery off Main and Spring Streets. We have had the pleasure of working with Design Architects, Selldorf Architects of New York City, on an extensive remodel that will transform an aged, historic mining cabin into a modern gallery. While maintaining the original character of the two-story building, the design introduces a very contemporary esthetic with metal exterior siding and large skylights to encourage natural light to flow through the 2400 square feet display space. Additional features include a 400 square feet support space, a trellised terrace and spacious two car garage. The owner, a renowned New York art dealer, is thrilled to have an Aspen presence in the works. The project is due to break ground in late fall for a summer 2016 opening.
