Roger is a Licensed Architect in the State of Colorado. When away from his desk you can find him skiing, mountain biking, trail running, camping and traveling with his wife and daughter.
GARRETT GREENE, AIAAssociate

GERALDINE PICHARDOInterior Designer
Geraldine “Gigi” Pichardo is an interior designer at DJArchitects. She received her
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Before
joining DJArchitects, Gigi worked as an interior designer and project manager in both
Aspen and Miami.
“What motivates me is seeing how communities can thrive in a space, how the space
can help people be the best version of what they are trying to achieve,” she says. “For
me aesthetics and beauty are the necessity of the soul.”
Professionally Gigi is particularly interested in furniture and industrial design and enjoys
the focus on collaboration in the architecture and design world.
“Architecture is craft, a work of means,” says Gigi. “It starts from the core necessity of
human life, the need to have shelter, a safe space to be in. The beauty of my job comes
from understanding the craft, how people live, their nuances in their home.”
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Gigi now calls the Roaring Fork Valley home.
Outside of work, she spends time on community volunteerism, hiking and as a
columnist for local Spanish-speaking newspaper, El Sol del Valle.
LIAM MCAVOYArchitectural Designer
Liam McAvoy is an associate architect at DJArchitects, where he brings a deep passion for
design that bridges emotion, artistry and purpose. He earned his Bachelor of Arts
in Environmental Design from Montana State University. Currently, he is working toward his
architectural license in the state of Colorado.
“Architecture is the amalgamation of emotion, art and a desire to make the world a better
place,” Liam says. “Joining DJA felt right because of the design language they speak and the
diversity of their projects. It’s a place where ideas stretch and evolve.”
For Liam, architecture is about connection. “I want to make an impact on the world and my
community while staying creative,” he says. “There’s something magical about designing a
space that could last a century and be used by a billion people. That’s what drew me in.”
He describes his design approach as intuitive and expressive: “It’s not just about what people
say they want—it’s about what they feel. I’m drawn to light and shadow, bold gestures and the
challenge of distilling a vague idea into a focused vision.”
Originally from Logan, Utah, Liam has called the Roaring Fork Valley home since 2024. Outside
the studio, he’s a dedicated triathlete who finds inspiration in nature through camping,
mountain biking, and skiing. One of his personal goals is to earn the coveted 100-day pin.
